Styling your photos!

One of the most stressful parts of having prepping for a session is planning the outfits! I get it, having a family of six, I know the struggle is real! I have a few rules of thumb I try to guide my family outfits with...

1. No designs, patterns, or stripes..... But texture is good!

2. Pick a color scheme of four colors and loosely mix pieces those colors through out the family. Personally, I love navy blue and cream... Over the years I have always picked those as my family's base colors and then picked colors that compliment them like dusty greens and little pinks... I love that there is a cohesion between all our photos over the years.

3. Pick a color scheme that makes sense to your location.

4. Think timeless and classic. I strongly recommend shying away from trends and trendy colors.

5. ACCESSORIZE! Do not forget the shoes, the bows, and the jewelry. 6. Ultimately, be you and be comfortable! The best photos are the genuine ones and its so helpful if everyone is comfortable!

You may be asking, but where do I start? Where do I find pieces for the whole family? 1. Amazon. Start with mom's outfit and go from there. 2. Target is great at having similar and catchy pieces throughout the kids sections and its more affordable. 3. H&M, Old Navy, and Gap are great sites where you can filter by color, they have matching pieces, and they are still generally affordable.
